Toon Girls Cover Page (The Mere Reflection)

Hi, everybody. This here is the cover page for the first Toon Girls story. I guess you can say this is a turning point in the production of the webcomic. Here's why:

This biggest one starts off with my mothers birthday. It came earlier this month and she wanted all the pages I've worked on until recently printed into physical copies (including the cover). After that was established, I practically worked my fingers to the bone to get as much of it done as I could. When the coloring started getting too much for me, I consulted a fellow deviant for help. And because of his feedback I've decided to do one big change that will be posted as the next reason.

One the things I've talked about with this anonymous deviant is that I found coloring a big issue since I usually start out sloppy on it and get all OCD to fix it up. Even in the smallest detail. As a result, it slows down the production and it would take up to several months just to finish one page. What does this mean? It means I'm going to be publishing the pages in Black and White after this one from now on and coloring them later so that I can reveal the story faster. Not only that but I will also be going back to previous pages and rework them in order to fit that format to keep some consistency. After considering that, it was almost like the weight of the world fell off my shoulders.

I almost felt stupid for not thinking of this sooner. But my big reason for not doing so is because I wanted to try and make something at least slightly impressive to look at. But then I'm one to believe that the art style means nothing if you don't have a good story behind it. That's pretty much the first rule of making cartoons and comics. Not only that, I have the gut feeling I'm closer to emulating Danny Antonucci's style. If not, please tell me. That's my goal in the first place.
